Samantha Homan

President

Biography
I have been involved in NSSLHA since my freshman year at NMSU. I love being involved in NSSLHA because we are always doing activities that benefit our community and are always involved in campus activities. I love that most of the community service we do is with certain populations and disorders that we will be working with later on in our careers. I also enjoy meeting all the members and learning more about our major through the organization and though the older members who are happy to help us. As the president, I am here to assist and support my fellow officers and members in any way I can. I am the liaison between NSSLHA and campus activities as well as ASNMSU. I am the main contact regarding this organization. One of my main goals to help NSSLHA grow is by bringing in new members. I am really looking forward to seeing how I can help improve NSSLHA through my position along with my fellow officers. I am excited to be your President of NSSLHA for the 2017-2018 year!

Kjelson Logan

Vice President of Fundraising
email: vpfundraisingnsslha@gmail.com

Biography
I joined NSSLHA my sophomore year simply to get involved in a student organization. When I joined NSSLHA, I was in the communication disorder major, but found that was not my calling. I am now going into my senior year as a family child science major. Even being outside of the CD major, this organization has brought me nothing but a great group of people and amazing opportunities. After college, I hope to pursue a career as a child life specialist in either Colorado or Tennessee. During this last year, I have the privilege of being the VP of fundraising. With this position I hope to help raise money for the organization and get the members more involved in activities.

Biography
I am a junior at NMSU. I have been an active member in NSSLHA since my freshman year. With that said, I held the officer position of Webmaster my sophomore year, and now I am currently Historian. As the Historian, I plan to be in charge of keeping the board on the first floor in the Edgar R. Garrett Speech Building up to date, planning the dates for activities at Bright Beginnings Daycare, keeping track of all the archives, as well as updating the NSSLHA instagram account. I enjoy being an officer because it teaches me responsibilities, as well as expanding my creativity, and leadership skills. Being involved in NSSLHA helped me meet new friends, future Speech-Language Pathologists, as well as current ones, get more involved in my community on and off campus, and simply giving me something to look forward to.
